Well I got you to look didn't I? Here's the link to some pictures.

I don't ever remember seeing this on Prizewinners or Big Max before.
While Benomyl or Captan might very well keep down secondary fungal infections that might otherwise penetrate the skin fissures, they sure don't slow the flow of sap even a little bit.
Would a latex based sealer help stem the flow? The green sap turns to a jelly like substance about a day or so after cleaning. But it never dries enough to seal off the flow. When I touch this stuff the pressure of the sap literally squirts out with enough force to make an audible squirting sound. All this pressure should be making the fruit grow. But too much is escaping. Growth has suffered.
Any thoughts or comments?

Steve I know of at least one grower who uses Doc Farwell's SEAL&HEAL Elastic brush-on coating for tree protection. I have used it a few times.Seems to work good. Jeff

Steve, I had the same problem and used some tree wax, the same stuff they put on when they cut off a branch, within two days it was dry and hasn't leaked since. Been two weeks now.

You will have to scrape off the tree wax Steve.
