No responses back from PGPGA on their lifting rins/strap combo (which I would like to purchase! Marv?) and the P&P setup is not the most desirable since I think it may "squeeze" the pumpkin too much.
Any other providers out there?

I GOT A 4FT CHEERLEADER TRAMPOLINE. IT WILL MAKE A NICE TARP.
I DONT NEED IT YET..LOOK AROUND FOR ONE. IF NO LUCK,,LET ME KNOW. IF YOUR PUMPKINS ARE REAL BIG YOU WOULD HAVE TO REINFORCE IT WITH STRAPS..
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PULL THESE BEASTS HERE IN TN? I WANT TO KEEP THEM ON AS LONG AS I CAN.
THERE IS THIS HUGE ORANGE BUG(MELON WORM?),THAT HAS BEEN RUINING MY HOWDENS. MY TEE PEE COVERS HAVE KEPT IT AWAY FROM MY AGs.

My P and P lifter should arrive early this week and I'll be sure and post how it works out, though it may be a little late for this season. Your point is valid about some potential "squeeze" factor, but it seems a spreader could be easily jury-rigged to eliminate that ? Good luck all !

Southern; i can make any design you may have. if you don`t have a particular style in mind i can engineer one to fit your needs. guaranteed not to squeeze the guts out of your pumpkin. hydraulic, electric, manual, rope, chain, portable, stationary, etc. etc. etc.any way you want it. e-mail me if you`re interested. cost and elivery not an issue.

southern, i got the one from p&p..i'll just put padding around the pumpkin if it looks like it will cut in to the pumpkin...if you look back at the tv show(hgtv)giant gardens the emmons use same one from p&p..put all the loops on to a big hook.and lifted it up

the only thing to be worried about with the PGPA lifter is an occasional abrasion from the seatbelt-type material the straps are made of...remember the sides of a pumpkin are curved and probably stronger than the very bottom... your fruit would have to be truly immense for the length of the straps to be a problem---the 1245 Bailey was lifted with no trouble at the Clarence weighoff. true, some soft, fuzzy material could be used as a MOVEABLE sheath for the straps, if necessary, or covering the length of each strap.
