Will this work if I mix it in with my baking soda solution to help stick to the leaves? I'm treating powdery mildew and want to try the simplest thing before I get out the big guns (Daconil, etc.) Thanks! Michelle

Hey Michelle,
Probably not. While highly refined vegetable oils *can* be made into emulsifiable oils (& there are a couple out there), they aren't made that way for cooking. And without the right emulsifiers, Olive oil won't properly mix with water.
Try to pick up a true "Superior Summer Spray Oil" (or ask for 6E) at a garden center. No more dangerous, just properly formulated for the task at hand.

Hey Steve, Thanks. I'll try my local garden center for the summer oil. McPumpkin, I also had some "copper insecticidal soap" that I tried on a section of plant...will be interesting to see what the outcome is in a couple of days. Many Thanks!! Michelle

I'm not permitted to tell anyone that one drop or two of MEK (menthol ethel keytone, in a gallon mix, will make oil and water an emulsifiable union. For a coffee I might tell anyone where it is still on the market should you be inclined to experimentation but only on private Email. Frankly I think you should just follow Steve's advise.
