Our zoo here in Seattle has a drawing twice a year to see who gets to buy there doo(composted that is) Im going to enter this fall in hopes of getting some for my patch. They have it twice a year. Once in spring, and another in the fall. According to the doctor of doo, the leader of the "turd" world at Woodland Park zoo, the animals have been very giving this year, so it's a bumper crop of doo doo. But still the demand outweighs what they have, so they have to have a drawing to make it fare. I have never used exotic doo before, but I have a feeling my pumpkins next season will love it. Im crossing my fingers. Barb Mitchell

High Barb!! I remember reading about your misfortunate run-in with vandals. I hope that everything worked out ok. Did the holes in the fruit heal up?

Best of luck for this year,
Michelle

I plugged the holes with wax, and that seemed to do it. The pumpkin kept on growing even though they were deep holes. Its going to be exciting to see how much it weighs in the end. The principal of the school two blocks down said she would like to bring her kindergarden and 1st graders up to look at them. Pretty cool! Barb

I wouldn't use cat doodoo. Even if its big cat doodoo, its still not safe. The doo composted by the zoo is from there herbavores only. Zebras, giraffes, hippos, horses, and of course the elephants. Barb
