which poses an interesting question to us first time fruit bearers....Pumpkins ripen or age off the vine...green will turn orange in howdens if plucked and left on the side...do the seeds also mature if plucked and left to age??? Is it possible since the pumpkin is removed that the ovaries will continue to fed the seeds from the already stored goods so that if a pumpkin doesn't make the magic fortydays on the vine could it still feed the seeds??? had a green one turned orange (see snowman picture) got buried in a snow mound and now has a plant there..

Chuck,,I would think so,,the seed are attached inside the fruit,so its food source is still there..Just my two cents..
