hello valley boy. I live about 45min south of Ottawa.Went to the Perth fair this long weekend , did ok and had a great time. Spencerville weigh-off is coming up in a couple of weeks and I hope to go with two pumpkins, mine and my daughters.Metcalfe fair has a large pumpkin contest in early October plus the one in Ottawa.I think Ottawa is out of my league for this year, still have alot to learn.Good luck! The byward market is the big one in Ottawa. I think it's the second weekend in October (often Thanksgiving) on the Saturday. The monsters at this weighoff range from 700-1100 pounds. I met Bruce from Stittsville at the last one and he sent me some seeds from his 927 pounder. I have not been able to get ahold of him since the email address he sent me does not work. Anyone here know him? The seeds worked well for me.
