Hello all,

I thought it would be fun to let everybody guess the weights of Carlos Perez' (Don Quijot') pumpkins before he will weigh them officially tomorrow.

His pumpkin on his 600.5 Gregory plant measures 377" OTT for an est. weight of 1095 lbs.
His pumpkin on his 869.5 Calai plant measures 360" OTT for an est. weight of 954 lbs.

So, what are your guesses for the official weights?

The person who guesses the weight most accurately will receive free seeds from my biggest pumpkin this year which is on a 845 Bobier 00 plant and crossed with the 712 Kuhn 00.

My guess for the 600.5 Gregory pumpkin is 985.5 lbs and my guess for the 869.5 pumpkin is 811 lbs.

(But I hope that they will go over 1000lbs despite the hot climate...)

Thanks for participating in the weight-guessing-contest!
The final official weight of the 600.5 Gregory pumpkin is 1036lbs.
The final official weight of the 869.5 Calai pumpkin is 795lbs.

So, congratulations to "PumpkinShepherd" for guessing the weight of the 600.5 pumpkin most accurately! His guess was 1034.3lbs (just 1.7lbs off the official weight).
"PumpkinShepherd" please send me your address so that I can send out the seeds to you this fall!

The most accurate guess for the weight of the 869.5 pumpkin was mine (811lbs), so no seeds here.
