The Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction Vermont hosted there annual pumpkin weigh-off this past saturday. Results are listed below....

1) Kevin Companion 1036lbs (801.5 Stelts x 810 Dill)
2) Adam Wheeler - 623.5lbs (869.5 Calai x 995 Carter)
3) Lou Marcucci - 611lbs (unknown genetics)
4) Dale Duffy - 544lbs (1007 Brown x open)
5) Glen Story - 297lbs (unknown genetics)

Once again these weights may be slightly off due to the use of an out-dated scale. The top 4 pumpkins weighed in quite heavy. At the same time, the scales were accurate when 3 people crammed onto the scale and weighed themselves. At any rate, Kevin's pumpkin was quite amazing! Pictures will be posted soon.

I had heard last Friday on 98.9 that Kevin was hoping to beat last years record (900+)...which had beat the old record of 200 and some pounds. Guessing he was very happy!
