i did not get alot of vegative growth.the mildew is on attack. can i "ripen" them to save the seed/fruit/effort/$ ? i may have to cull the howdens and the front patch(3 fine big fruits), to save four plants in the rear patch.

i think usually the seeds mature faster than the fruit- I've seen many young pumpkin with viable seeds. to ripen your fruit you let the sun shine on it.

How long from blossom till harvest needs a pumpkin to get their seeds viable? I mean which is the shortest?

I have heard 50 days from pollination but cannot confirm this.
