This is such a great time of year. I'm getting closer to a new personal best as well. I know what you are feeling, I just want everything to hang on as well. Congrats, and good luck!

Way to go guys! I'm establishing my PB as a first year grower. Hanging tight at about 400. Today the sun is back and is promised to stay for a week. We shall see if my girls will grow a bit more. A couple good weeks left!

Most exciting thing I've ever grown! They got me. :)

Congratulations on your 4.8 lb. personal best. With hard work during the off-season it shouldn't be too hard to double that next year. Maybe you should try Mark Pistono's suggestions for pushing it's weight.

With the help of many wonderful people from this website I have been able to reach the 300 pounder that I'd hoped for. Grew a "wagon wheel" a couple of years back that was probably around 200. Had major stem split..I remember you could see daylight through it!!
Thanks to all....

OK OK boy, post it a third time and may be we believe ya 47pounder. I think it may be a real problem to stop growing an AG at 47 lbs. ;-)

yup! i doubled my pb. if you count 3-100lbers as 300lbs. burnt the leaves off 3 plants, each with a 100lber attached. but, as they say...no worries here... `cause my second half season already has three potentially huge fruit making all kinds of racket in the patch, and 6 more plants just popped out of the ground last week for my 3rd second half season this year !!!

Ive met my personal best this year. I had a goal of getting 1 to 300lbs. Looks like i have a chance. I just have to improve my soil more to get to that next goal for next year.

Red shirted junior here finally got a pumpkin to stick so after three years everyday is a PB...None of that explosive growth ever came her way but still averaging 7lbs a day for the last 2 weeks. Can't get accurate OTT neasurements because of the shape and lay of the land but at least 250 lbs now....weighed a hollow out blown blossom end at 170 lbs and I know this is twice the size..I got Rookie fruit eyes though so will have to see at the end what it really weighs...I gotta thank everyone here for putting up with me the last two years and all the advice and don't give up encouragement...without BP.com I'm sure I woulda quit...Thanks All...and everybody Grow em Big!!! PS G 534 still green over 225.

My P.B. was 192 pounds a couple of years ago. By measurement estimates I have a couple over that now. You guys made it all possible...especially those of you who sent me seeds. Thanks ever so much!
I am going away for two or three days, and a friend has kindly offered to water my "babies". I am down to 5 pumpkins and all are keepers. One is a "Wagonwheel that is gaining over 10 inches around per day. I have created a monster heh heh.

I have two pumpkins larger than my PB which is only 114lbs.One tapes out at around 150lbs and still growing.I know that isn't big to most of you but i am happy with it.This being my second year i still have lots to learn and am allready looking foreward to " building the patch " this winter.I don't think the Deep South is the best place to grow these beasts with all the heat and humidity but it sure is fun trying. Thanks to all and thanks to Kilr for donating the 673 seed that i am growing.
