Hi new at this pumpkin growing hooked already.my stem on my pumpking is cracked almost in half,i didnt give the vine enough room to move and its tearing the stem off.any hope on saving the pumpkin? the pumpkin is around 194 inches total.thanks for any feedback this is the coolest web-site ever!!

You have committed one of the most common "rookie" mistakes.
....been there....done that!! What can be done? Just cut the anchoring roots that are holding the main vine down so you can loosen the tension on that stem......and pray!
