            | Wes@PA | Chester Co., PA | An AG would need a huge greenhouse with tilled dirt floor. What's the Biosphere being used for these days?
During the off-season we normally rest and watch 'Boily' work.

            | Steveman | colorado | As a matter of fact, Epcott at Orlando Florida has a huge greenhouse full of hydroponic sand that is used and is very sterile will no bugs, diseases, fungi, or anything wrong really in a controlled environment and they had a 600 lber. growing when I was there in December....d | 8/17/2003 2:28:55 PM |

            | docgipe | Montoursville, PA | Epcott also has a few expendable bucks to play with. :) | 8/17/2003 6:15:40 PM |

            | Yukon | Yukon, Canada | I grow exclusively in a greenhouse. I have for four years now. It's the only possible way up here north of 60. I have a 1200 square foot green house and half of that is dedicated to the pumpkin. I've got a thermostatically controlled ventilation fan, a woodstove, electric back up heat, and a 1250 gallon tank for warming irrigation water. Would love to exchange ideas with fellow greenhouse growers. Von in the Yukon, [email protected] | 8/18/2003 2:18:53 AM |

            | Yukon | Yukon, Canada | McPumpkin...I have raised beds and this year I dug out about 4 square feet and layed down some styrofoam insulation, put the dirt back on, and thats where I transplanted the pumpkin plant (end of May). It's helped but I think over the winter I'll search out some sort of buryable heat tape for next year. Any ideas who sells that? No Bigfoot here although there was a grizzly bear in the yard a couple of weeks ago, I'm glad he didn't have a go at the greenhouse. Von | 8/20/2003 1:23:29 AM |

            | overtherainbow | Oz | LOL VON,,IN MY PATCH IN JUNE I FOUND WHAT IM TOLD IS BEAR PUCKY,,I NEVER HAD A BEAR BEFORE!!LOL IM A CITY BOY BY NATURE. WHEN SOME HARDWARE STORES WERE GOING OUT OF BIZ IN MICH. THEY HAD ROOF ICE MELTING WIRE.IT GOES ON THE EDGE OF YA ROOF. YOU COULD USE HIGH TEMP POLY PIPE AND A WATER FURNACE. OR SOME HEAT TAPE WRAPPED AROUND SOME PIPE FILLED WITH WATER. I WOULD ASK THAT IN THE GEN DISCUSSION "ROOM". IF YA SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS ILL SEND YOU A PIPE HEATER THAT GOES ON A PLASTICS MACHINE. IT GOES AROUND A METAL PIPE AND HEATS IT UP. IT IS NEW AND IM SURE WORKS. YOUR WELCOME TO HAVE IT,,ALTHOUGH LIVING IN THE GREAT WHITE NORTH YOU MAY WANT IT TO KEEP YA BOOTS WARM!
