            | Desert Storm | New Brunswick | Hello again. I have one very odd shaped pumpkin....almost shaped like a pendlum. Have a look in my diary. It is a 695 Van....probably 3 weeks old or so. It is 43 inches cir...so is not doing so hot. I wonder if I should cut this plant completely from the patch. It's stump is growing about 2 feet from the 945 Van plant's stump only headed in the opposite direction. The only reason it is here is I had culled 6 of my 10 plants at the proper culling time and my jackknife simply refused to cut another stem!! *grin* Would culling the plant at this late date help the other two plants growing in the same area? This one pumpkin is the only significent one on this plant. | 8/7/2003 2:41:41 PM |

            | MR. T. (team T) | Nova Scotia | if the plant is a lost cause then cut it out (do not pull) | 8/7/2003 4:41:11 PM |

            | Desert Storm | New Brunswick | Yup I will NOT pull. Did that last year and learned a very valuable lesson. Broke another plant right off at the stump! Would pulling it increase the other plants growing ability? Or would it make any difference at this late date? | 8/7/2003 4:44:22 PM |
