            | PumpkinShepherd (Todd) | Indiana | I see that people are fert. once a week for the most part once the pumpkin is set. Question is following the directions how many gallons of this fish & seaweed do you mix up for one application? First year using this and was wondering how much you all use? Thanks in advance. | 8/7/2003 11:24:12 AM |

            | docgipe | Montoursville, PA | I use one ounce per gallon of usable vollume and give the whole patch a good wetting on the leaf surface daily. In theory I would be using one seventh of an ounce daily. Think it is a tad, a small tad more than that. Exact measurement with liquid organic type ferts is not overly important. One ounce per gallon of use is likely a low range per your instructions. Mine says to use two to four ounces weekly. I'm getting excellent steady growth with the lower rate of application. One can always add more if the leaf appearance seems to call for it. | 8/7/2003 2:30:20 PM |

            | docgipe | Montoursville, PA | If you up the kelp, by volume, and down the fish as you approach milldue time you may not see enough milldew to worry about.
So far this has seemed to work for me. The problem is close by, on other plants, but not on my pumpkins. I feel the differenc may be the very healthy plant and the kelp combination.
