Anyone out there in the local area around Lindsay Ontario (central ontario). It is lonely up here with no other growers that I know about in the area. If there happens to be anyone out there close it would be nice to get together and check out the gardens and compare notes. Phil from Cameron (Lonely in the Lindsay area).

Phil......I am from Orono.....will have a New Weigh-off September 20...bring a pumpkin......you too Kyle......Phil maybe you can come down for a visit in about two weeks...things here are very busy, but after that no problem....visiting a few growers in Ottawa this weekend

Hi Phil. Maybe you can make a road trip out of this. Kind of a one man patch tour. After you visit Wayne's patch you can swing by my patch in Enniskillen and then on to Kyle's patch in Whitby. Wayne is kind of the Big Dog of pumpkins in this area so it's good to start with him. It is funny that we are such a small group here. There's 6 million people in the GTA and yet there's just a handful of growers. If I want to go to a big weigh-off I have to drive 4 hours to Ottawa or 4 hours to Port Elgin or 3 to St. Catherine's yet most of the people are out here. I guess it has something to do with rural vs. city life styles. Anybody want to form the "Central Ontario Growers Association" ? BTW I was born and spent the first 35 years of my life in Whitby. My In-Laws are just down the road from you Phil in Omemee. Anyway make sure you guys get a hold of me if your going to be in the area (you too Kyle).

Well, cycling I do a lot of, Im going up to Lindsay hopefulyl this weekend to meet a few growers and friends, then the last week of August im hoping to Cycle to Orono...If your gonna stop by my patch, lemme know so I can Clean up a little bit, its a mess right now...

I didn't realize the # of growers in the central Ontario region. I have the next 3 weeks off and would love to visit some of your gardens. Email me if you have some free time and let me know your address and I will be down to visit. A central Ontario weigh-off and forming a growers ass. would be great. Sign me up. In the Barrie area I have contacts at a local landscape company. Cornerstone, they may have a yard near you. Maybe we could organize a weigh off. Patch tour sounds great to me as well.
