            | quinn | Saegertown Pa. | Steve I have bin using daconil and scimitar once a week since the start of the season the last week and a half I have bin going with every three to four days. my lower garden has disease on the leaves it seems to be spreading I've added nova and sprinkled subdue on the ground all around plant and some in between the vines. I understand that nova is more for powdery mill dew, would you alternate every four days between the daconil and nova or would it be better to primary use the daconil and use nova every couple of weeks?Quinn

            | Tremor | [email protected] | I would combine the Nova & the Daconil using the nominal rate of each. Use it only on the foliage (these 2 can't be root absorbed like Subdue) & concentrate on the lower portion of the leaves. That's where Powdery Mildew starts. Is this what you have?

            | quinn | Saegertown Pa. | No I dont have powdery mildew yet the nova was recommended by Allen Gibson he felt it would be better in preventing powdery mildew. the disease on the leaves showed up in the last two weeks after I got flooded out in my lower garden it doesn't seem to be in the upper gardens. some of the leaves have brown spots all threw them I have had this problem in the past when we have had excess rain . I'm going to contact Penn state and send them a leaf sample the subdue seems to have helped. When you say combine do you mean mix them together in the same sprayer? I usually combine fish and see weed in the sprayer with any fungicide I use. Quinn

            | Tremor | [email protected] | Yes to combining the Nova & Daconil. We even sell an Eagle+Mancozeb preblended combination fungicide.
By all mean get a sample to Penn State. Include a root sample too. With the symptoms described & the weather of late, I'd say a root disorder is active.
