Thought this might be fun, and interesting....what's your biggest one week weight gain, and what was the ultimate result of the fruit? If you know of any other's post those too!.

Mine is 182lbs fruit weighed in at 814

running a close second 179 lbs...fruit split a week later, taped to 625

Best 7 day gain last year 178 LB ended up going 1076.5
Best 7 day gain this year 214 LB on a 845 Bobier. I have my fingers crossed,I lost a 790 Daletas to a blossom end split today.

Hey Scott...great thread. Best gain was 225lbs (day 23-30) on the 711 Papez. It ended up splitting in August at 705lbs. Averaged 32lbs a day for one week straight. Had temps in the mid 90's and very high humidity.

Day 6 for me on what will be my best one week weight gain. Only trouble is, seems like the trend for big gains is splitting...oh well, it will be fun while it lasts! LOL

My 960 Vader put on 196 lbs. in a seven day period last year. It put on 42 lbs. on the fastest growing day. It weighed in at 809 lbs. I think it grew as fast as it did because of the late pollination date and it was trying to catch up (a theory anyway). BTW judging by the high failure rate of fruits on this posting , we should take this as a cautionary tale. A fast growing pumpkin is a quick road to disaster.

Of course I have had some aborts this season.. most likely too much fert..you read it here all the time.. slow and easy wins the race.

I like slow and steady Phil.....no huge weight swings ......just steady growth......210 is mine and I would not want it much more..

I wonder if there is a certain period of age when the fruit generally grow the most? By looking here it would be somewhere around day 30 -40?????

okay, my new best one week weight gain is 235lbs.......LMAO, can you say "KABOOM!!".......its not a matter of "if" but of "when". I wonder what a fruit like the 1337.6 did in a 7 day time frame? anyone know?

The 1337 was pollinated on July 8. On July 27 it taped at 257lbs. On August 30 it taped at 1020lbs. An average of 27-28lbs per day for August. The final taping was 108x110x174
392" OTT for 1203lbs. It weighed heavy at 1337.6lbs.
