            | Urban Farmer (Frantz) | No Place Special | I thought it might be time to start the fun in the 840 contest. Can anyone beat my 840?????? I doubt it! LOL… let the BS begin.
I have heard there are a couple nice ones out there, but can they measure up to
My WWW ‘s twin sister? I DOUBT IT! At day 24 (Aug 2nd) she was
 a big, fat and enormous 90.5, 60.75,66.5= 217.8” or 225.5lbs!
Bring on the friendly rivalry guys and gals!!!

            | gordon | Utah | .... isn't there usually some rule about the organizer of the contest is not eligible to win it ? :) ... LOL ! | 8/4/2003 11:26:47 AM |

            | gordon | Utah | the growers of big ones often seem to fade away in silence as the season goes on. ... Mike I hope you win it...( well I hope BrentW wins it also... tie for first .... well I hope a few others tie too...)

            | brentw(2) | | Kind of hard to fade away when journal posts (with growth info) are a rule of the competition. And posting fake data would also be against the rules... I assume.
My 840 is taking it nice and slow....

            | LIpumpkin | Long Island,New York | Sounds like a fixed race to me. There's rumors out there that Mike Franz knew he was gonna get a big one on the 840 and concocked this contest just to fit his agenda.......the BS stops when the tailgate drops Mike....lol | 8/4/2003 4:24:47 PM |

            | dincubus | Aberdeen, SD | so much for actually growing something this year. it seems like mother nature, the unseen forces of the universe among other things are in a conspiracy against me.yes we had a nasty storm out here last week (friday i think) and there was alot of hail, from pea sized to golfball sized and high winds. i esitmated (read guessed) that the winds were about 65 miles an hour or so.
all my plants were thrashed and the vines were torn up big time.
so all three of my 660 koch plants and my 840 derosiers plant are basically dead. there are some signs of life, but the vines are all broken up and full of holes as are the leaves. so who knows, but i can say this.
it looks as if i am out of the pumpkin competition

            | Urban Farmer (Frantz) | No Place Special | Darn Mark your up on me! Looks like the race is on! I culled a 200lb side fruit off the plant today and that should kick mine into overdrive. As far as the diary posting, that is a rule but its only required every 3 weeks. A LOT can happen in 3 weeks!!!!Mike Frantz
