            | Urban Farmer (Frantz) | No Place Special | I know this should go on the recipe board or something but who looks there? I missed out on the Kilr Krunch in Ohio, they ate it up before I got some, but Eldridge Pumpkin (Judy) made some lastnight to go with dinner. Man I must say it was AWESOME! I just finished some more for breakfast...,NUMMM ..NUMM!!!!AWESOME recipe Kilr!

            | floh | Cologne / Germany | I´d like to try the receipe, short question: can you use your (bigger) culls at this time of the season or are they still immature for cooking purposes? | 8/4/2003 10:36:08 AM |

            | Brigitte | | Floh......Atlantic Giant pumpkins aren't "sugar" pumpkins. They won't taste the best in recipes, like the smaller pumpkins do. You'll have to add a lot of sugar. Also, some chemicals you've put on might make the fruit not suitable for eating.Fruits develop sugars as they ripen...I don't think an unripe pumpkin (just like any other unripe fruit) would be very good.

            | Brigitte | | I almost mentioned those but didn't think it was relavent. Ha ha, hey, speaking of them, does anyone have a recipe for those? Do you just throw 'em in the pan with a little butter or what? I'd like to try them. | 8/4/2003 4:03:28 PM |

            | Green Angel(Cary Polka) | Grants Pass, Oregon | Brigitte I make an egg batter and then a seperate bowl with some flour, I dip the tomatoe slices in the flour first, then the egg and back into the flour to get a nice coating, then take and deep fry it. Yummy. Thats why I am so big :) | 8/4/2003 7:34:16 PM |

            | Desert Storm | New Brunswick | Polka Dot...I never tried cooking them that way. Thanks. They sound delicious. I have always fried sliced green tomatoes, onions and sometimes (if I have it) peeled sliced zuccini, in melted butter or marjarine. They are yummy that way too! | 8/4/2003 9:16:21 PM |
