            | luvtogrow | Manchester, N.h. | I just noticed something on two of my pumpkins, on the same plant. There are little like clear jell pimples on the pumpkin itself and more around where the bloom was. It wasn't there yesterday and it's been down pouring off and on today so I don't know if the rain is the cause of this. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what this might be. Thanks....Flora | 8/1/2003 12:02:18 PM |
            | John G. | derry n.h u.s.a. | Hi FloraNothing to worry about, some pumpkins seem to bleed sap more then others, i have one on my plant which i,ve never seen the likes of before, its sapping out all over the place, cracks splits, pinholes, etc from stem to blossem and then some.Wouldent worry though,at least you know its growing.I use a bleach solution 1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water and wash down the fruit once a week or so,this should help keep bacteria and spore buildup in check.or Captions dry dusted over the sap areas helps also.Hope this helped.John
