On the Weather this morning they said July will be the hottest month on record. Not just the hottest July on record, but the hottest of ANY month EVER here in Arizona. Good year to be a newbie Pumpkin grower.

If we could avg our temps, it would be perfect pumpkin growing weather! May, june, july, all below normal avg. here in WI. People up here say its great not to have the hot weather this year, but they are forgetting, the hot humid weaher usually brings rain. Dry cool days spells no rain....farmers are getting worried about the crops. Its been the coolest wisconsin summer that i can remember since i paid attention to the weather. Cold fronts go through, its too cold or not enough moisture in the air for rain....cold front hits illinois, indiana, and ohio and it rains like a sun of a gun!

The cool weather is not great for pumpkins, but its great to live in if you dont like 105 degrees for 20 straight days...lol.

ps...praying for warmer nights!

Weather in central Ontario Canada has been quite cool for this time of year. We havn't had a day over 85 in over a month now. Night-time temps. have been in the low 50's, with only one night did the temp. reach in the mid 60's. Hope we start to get some summer weather soon or the chance for a personal best may not come to life. Good-luck Phil, Cameron, Ontario, Canada.

I think for July we have had like 19 days at 100 or over. It seems like it has been forever. But when i see how Arizona has been I guess we have been lucky. LOL Greg

My Mom was just up in Wisconsin, Canada, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, etc. She said it was just wonderful weather.
Today it is not bad, 34% humidity and only suppose to get up to 100-102 degrees. Depending on which news channel you watch the weather on. The dew point is high though. and there is a 30% chance of showers.
Looks like everyone is getting funky weather.

In Sacramento we tied the record for the number of 100's days in July but we still weren't as hot as Phoenix. We shouldn't complain in the central valley.
