PACIFIC NORTHWEST GIANT PUMPKIN GROWERS

1ST ANNUAL PUMPKIN PATCH TOUR AND PICNIC
SUNDAY, AUGUST 10TH, 2003

The tour will be a fun way for our growers to get to
know each other better, and serve as a way to give our
newer members some first-hand insights into growing
Giant Pumpkins.

The 2003 Patch Tour will includes visits to 5 gardens
and a tour of the Hidden Valley Compost Facility.
Growers are encouraged to make a day of this event. We
will conclude with a patch tour and picnic dinner at a
75-acre estate in Mossyrock, WA, courtesy of Darrell
and Daulina Roulst.

Other stops on the tour include visits to the gardens
of:

Chris Michalec, starting at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
This is the starting point for the Patch Tour. The
address is 16303 S.E. Green Valley Rd., Auburn, WA.
Contact Chris @253-639-4940 or email him @
[email protected] for directions, or consult
your Thomas Guide. The group will then form a caravan
to our next stop at:

Lincoln Mettler's patch in Edgewood @ 10:30 a.m.-11:30
a.m., then on to:

Joel Holland's patch in Sumner from 12:00 p.m. 1:00
p.m., next stop will be at:

Stan Pugh's patch in Puyallup, 1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.

The next stop will be:
Hidden Valley Composting Facility, in Graham, WA
3:00-4:00 p.m.

Final stop will be at Darrell and Daulina Roulst's for
a patch tour and our summer picnic. The club will
provide beverages, plates and napkins. The Roulst's
are providing the rest of the dinner. If tour guests
would like to bring snacks or appetizers, that will be
great.
