My 1098 ciliberto sure likes to have small problems everywhere. Actually, my pumpkin is 9 days old and has really started to grow now in the last 2 days. 19.25 inches at day 9 groing 3 inches per day now. I have another cut in my fruit that has appeared in the last day. One inch above the blossom end. about 7/8 inch long going side to side or parallel to the ground. The cut is about 1/8 inch thick, maybe a little more wide, but not very deep at all. I covered with fungicide paste. I sure hope this fruit goes, seems to grow well. Any advice on the cut? Jim

Do you have any leaves that may be rubbing against it? Or if you have any finger nails at all it may have been that.

the mark looked like a scratch yesterday, then opened up today. For the life of me, I have no idea how it happened. I didn't knowingly scratch it, and no leaves are close to it. Jim
