My 840 Just never seemed to take off. Germinated on May 18th and the main vine was only 9 feet. It had only two secondarys and both were at 12 inches. No flowers even close to open. I cut and removed the vine then dug the roots. The roots never seemed to outgrow the starting soil medium. I treated all plants the same so just a roll of the dice for this one.

To those still in good luck and happy growing!.....Tom

Hmm, at least your plant started growing. Mine got in the ground and did absolutely nothing. I planted it off to the side just to see if it ever did grow, and to this day it is a stumpy little plant, with 10 or so dime sized leaves. Odd stuff. Glad I replaced it when I did and not wait for it to do something. -Tim

I also had a dud plant that has a lot of dime size leaves so I took this tiny little plant and took it to a land fill site with all kinds of unknown stuff in the soil. I planted it 2 days ago and when I went to this site today to check on it the plant seems to look alive and well so I am hoping for the best.

I must say it was not from the 840.

My 840 started with a 4" wide mutant main. (See diary for pictures!) Since then it has basically sat there, while my 1074 Calai is attempting to push it out of the patch! Got 1 fruit set a few days ago, I'm in it for the long haul, even though my expectations are shattered. I'm leaving it there just for all you people that are travelling here to see it next Sunday!
