I applied fertilizer that was too strong and the leaves became blotchy and then the blotches turned into dry yellow dead matter. Anybody got any ideas of how I can help the leaves out? V.

Lots of water, to dilute the overuse of fertilizer. Once the leaves get this way there is no help for them except let the new growth be healthy.

Yes a lot of water, several days, and maybe some gypsum to the soil could help as well.

Gypsum will help leach the fertilizer salts through the soil but the water is part of that equation too.

Thanks for all the advice everybody. It's definitely a lesson learned here. V.
