Again this year i can not get any pumpkins to take. No matter if it is a cool day or a hot day. I havent given them any fertilizer at all this year. Was going to start fertilizing after I had one set on each plant. But no luck again. I'm ready to give up. any suggestions?

How much water are you putting on each plant ? Too much water can make a small pumpkin rot. If so try no water or very little when a female is about to open.

Jay how quick are they aborting after pollenation. Do the aborted fruit have any spotting on them...black dots...fuzz anything like that....cut one open down the stem through the pumpkin anything in there? Any browning of the leaves following down the main...plenty of questions? can you post a picture of the plant and fruit? I know the feeling went 2 years without a set finally had tissue samples done and the patch was loaded with fusaria. good luck!

Thought I had a fruit set,,it started rotting from the blossom end.Removedit this morn, cut open and about 6" from blossom end had a greenish white worm/larva inside the fruit.Never heard of this nor have ever seen.Any ideas anyone? Didnt appear to be a hole in fruit,so wondering how this pest got inside. J

I was watering the night before pollination to possibly keep them cool for the next day. They grow to about hardball baseball size then rots. They never make it to the laydown stage. I will try not watering the night before or as much. Thanks. will get back to u.
