Well I hope I have successfully fertilized two females. Do I switch from my weekly application of Miracle Gro to 20 20 20 soluable? I read Brett Hesters transcript and he says go easy on the fertilizer...but...he used no manure and my patch is 100 % pure horse manure. So would that make a difference in applying fertilizer? How much do you think of what fertilizer and how often? I applied 10 10 10 and lime at planting time.

I'd hold off on applying any fertilizer until you have all the fruit set. at least to basketball size....then go to the 20-20-20.

Storm.....Look your options over for something like 2-12-12 to begin about two weeks before basketball. Whatever you choose many feel that it should apply more often and less at any one application. Slow and easy is what I am trying to achieve to bring the big girls satisfaction.

Uh huh...what to do? what to do? I have always used Miracle gro at this stage...in fact that is all I used until early last fall, when I met all you guys and gals and I was told to use 0 0 60. Think I will see what my A.G. grower book might have to say. I would rather use hands on info from you guys...but will check the book anyhow I guess for comparison. Those blasted cuck beetles are driving me crazy. I dust with Rotenone and then it rains...dust...rain...ugh!!
