Anyone know where there are some weighoffs in the southern connecticut area. i wont be participating this year...just watching!!! :)

You might be participating! You have one plant growing. Stranger things have happened.
Durham Fair is the only one I know of in So. CT. I'll see you there! With or without a Pumpkin!

Check the Weigh-off board for some posts of last years events. That will give you some ideas as to when and where.
That board will start to heat up in Sept. Stay tuned.
OCT 4th is the BIG day

i eiah that was true, tremor but for whatever reason my plant that waas looking so good with 7 leaves has now only one leaf that is about an inch big. :( i woke up one morning to find it had wilted, i gave it water but it didnt improve. the next day i went out and the leaves were brown and crispy so i clipped them of and burried the vine where they were to hopefully grow more roots. i think when i was giving it a nitrogen high fertilizer it got some on th leaves and it burned them. :( :( :(
