Subject:  cucumber pumpkin??

the guy who shoes my horses brought me 7 seeds that his mother sent him from w.v. the other day, he called them cucumber pumpkins...said they grew about 3 feet long and about 10" in diameter.color is green and the "shell" is so tough and brittle that you have to use a chopping ax to cut into it.. he says they make the best pies there are.. anybody got any idea what these cucumber pumpkins are?? i have never heard of them..

hi black cloud i have seeds from a 5ft.hard shell gourd that i grow in my garden each year i also have alot of different gourd seed if you email me i will be happy to mail to you .

dag nabbit if this dont beat all...i finally come up with a true to life question and everybody thinks its a joke!!! i'm not kidding.. he really called them cucumber pumpkins.. the seeds actually looked like a ag. just yall wait..i'll be posting some pics of this rareity and yall will all be envious on me!! no punchline...
