Has anyone tried using the product eight in place of sevin? If so, are there any additional benefits?

I started using it over the sevin last yr seemed to work better on the squash bugs. Also I didn't see as much leaf burn. But I would bet Steve will pop in and let us know the in's and outs of both products or at least I hope he does. Ken

What is the active ingredient? This sounds like a consumer material??? I've never heard of it.

Kyle, I think you're right about that. I saw reference to that stuff on Mallorn. The poster must have spelled it wrong & I got tired of looking for it. I came into another case of Scimitar GC Quarts today. Forgot we had it.
But the question remains. What is Eight? Maybe a google is in order here.

Plateman, I tried Eight, made by Bonide, a couple years ago. It seemed to work well against cucumber beetles, but I only used it one year. The active ingredient is Pemethrin (2.5%). Not exactly sure of the spelling of that..Joe

OK. Now we have 2 different actives. Permethrin & Deltamethrin. They are similar. But not the same. Hmmmm....
