Subject: light green 845 pumpkins

I have light green 845 pumpkins starting to show up. Anyone else have the same? how about last year, any light green 845's go pumpkin, or stay squash??

Ron- I don't know about the 845 specifially. but .. green females doesn't mean it will grow to be a squash. Most all other pumpkin varities have green females then they turn orange when the mature. My experience has lead me to believe that green females produce a nice orange colored pumpkin.

I'll second Joe's experience thus far....couple of females on my 845, all yellow.

Ron, I'm experiencing the same thing you are. The female on an 845 is green. The plant has dark green vines and leaf stems just like a squash. Even though I've seen green females turn orange later on, their as green as any squash I've grown at this stage. Alan N

Ron which 845? Bobier or Nesbitt? If its the Bobier look a little ways back here under general discussion where I posted about the subject 821 Garrell. Its the 845 sibbed. Thomas
