for those in CT area its been wet wet wet. am going to set plants out monday or tues. field was former corn field so it is fertilzed and well tilled. no worry about weed killer in ground. will dump some rotten cow manure on ground first. never grew pumpkins before so we shall see what happens. am planting 6 plants from seeds sent from growers here. any suggestions of what else to do. plan on putting straw or grass clippings around for weed control. will i be lucky to get triple digit pumpkins?? more questions to follow

land o' giants just type that into MSN annedawn publishing just type that into MSN, also. videos and seeds from Joel Holland at Holland's Land o' Giants--get the 2002 AND the 97--so you'll be caught up on the state of the art, and the 97 i think shows the best germinating, pollinating, and general through-the-season care that there has been. and he'll send you some good seeds.
the volume 2 book of Don Langevin's, at annedawn publishing, or 'How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins, II' is the official bible of AG (Atlantic Giant) growers. u'll be sooo hooked-up! and get some seeds from him also!!! 'pal
