I have question about my plant. My 1098 was transplanted by emergeny at 5 weeks old 9 days ago. It is looking good now with just wilt during hot days so I mist a lot now. My new growth is not a good green but yellowish. The 4 older leaves look very green and healthy, only new growth is yellowish. I gave it 15-30-15 for first time yesterday in 8 days, very small amount. I have kept soil moist and it has been 85 and sunny last 3 days to help roots. Plant is growing 3 inches per day now. How do I tell if the yellow is too much water or not enough fertilizer? Have to mist alot now until roots grow and help wilt but soil isn't drenched from this by any means. advise? Thanks, Jim

Ouch! You gotta do what you gotta do. Massive root damage.
Reduce fertilizer to minimal absolutely nearly none. If that is a 1097.8 TC it is most agressive. It has been hurt. Keep it damp in soil and cool by misting until it recovers.
It may not recover fully. Only time will tell. Lots of time.
Expect it to act up and show you delays in development. Good luck. May your poor lady recover and give you something.

yep, it's the 1098 ciliberto. actually, it has already recovered very well in 9 days. The plant looks very healthy except the yellowing on the tip of the main. The vine has grown 6 inches in the last two days, much faster recovery for growth and it surprised me. That's why I figured it might be lack of nitrogen since the roots are still underdeveloped with it starting to grow so fast now with no ferts for awhile now. This morning my gut told me to put some more 15-30-15 on the roots and if I'm not mistaken, I think the leaves look greener already a little bit this afternoon. I buried the main so i should have new fast root growth from the leaf axix's soon which should help. does my theory make sense?

Those roots had to be damaged somewhat. How badly & how much recovery is tough to judge. Wasn't it 'Pal that wanted some clear soil so wee could see what was going on down there? The disturbed roots are probably just taking priority over the foliage for now.
In the real world we must judge below ground action by what we see above. If it were me, I'd rely on fish/seaweed/low rate ferts for another week. Foliar ferts can be utilized regardless of rooting, but go easy. I wouldn't have abstained from fert either & agree with what you did so long as moderation & a lighter than average approach was used.
Feel the soil at depth (carefully) with fingers to judge the condition there. Neither extreme will help.
