floh- nice garden stakes... I use kind of a similar think. I bought a bunch of cheap white plastic cloths hangers at walmat- i think 12 for around a dollar ?... I cut each one into 2 loops with my tin snips or small bolt cutter and throw away the hook. then i have two garden stakes. it take a little time to do a lot of them... but that's what the off season is for. 240 hoops for $10. can't beat that. white makes them easy to see. and plastic means that it won't damage the tiller like a metal one if i accidentally come across one.

I like to take a cooler of beer to the patch and a little charcoal grill. The sirloin tri-tips are really good from Costco, and a little potato salad and some fresh tomatoes and corn from the rest of the garden and I'm good for the day.

Hey TIller, Thanks for supporting my family! I brew beer for a living and my wife works at Costco! Costco runs all their steaks through a needle tenderizer Thats the difference.

The metal ones are from the Walmart camping store. 10 for 2 $. As soon as the vine get some roots (going fast because the hooks keep it close to the soil) I remove them to fix the new sections. It´s rust-free stuff, I guess you can use it for years, plain outdoor quality. Before using them I had vines turning on the side (and splitting) whenever it was windy. Tiller, everytime I forget to remove the BBQ trash before I go to bed, some cats (harmless) or other creatures (whatever) turn my grill place upside down overnight. But they never touched the empty beer bottles...

I never in my life just came accross a piece of wire while tilling. My tiller is specialized to pick up that wire and wind it into the turning axel as if that were the only possible use for tiller or wire in the patch.
Using bamboo crossed sticks to the same end. My tiller does not recognize them as fair game.

Hey Black Cloud are you asking me?
Sierra Nevada Brewing co. A variety of Ales and Lagers, but no whimpy "Light " beers. Ones beverage SHOULD have flavor and not be devoid of it as in the "Lights" . I you need to go on a diet... Dont Drink Beer! Trust me, my waist tells the tale.
I personally use 8 or 6 guage copper wire to hold down my vines. I like it because it is sturdy but soft so I can mold it around differing vine shapes.
