My 1016 is sadly over I think. Ever have a season with a plant where nothing goes right with it? Had 2 double vines, unexplained holes in leaves, 3 male flowers on each axis, even 3 tendrils on a few too, deep slices on my main vine happening every 2 feet, side vines that go up in the air and have no leaves for 2 feet, double leaves on most vines occasionally, etc. My main actually has a huge hole in it now at 5.5 ft out from these mutant gashes. Even if I use a side vine, I think it will happen again. What a strange plant. I think in san diego, I can still get a nice pumpkin by Halloween starting now since we have no frost in October and it is usually warm in the 80's. hope to have better luck with new seeds. Jim

Jim....Move the Ciliberto over to that spot...dig a large ball of dirt with as much of the roots as possible (as big as you can carry)....Ive done it...it works with some post operative TLC....G

thanks! I did it, well, it looks good and the transplant of my 1098 went well. Never thought I would do that:) the leaves look sad already, but some tlc should help it recover in a few days. Jim

Be prepared to shade it a bit (since the roots were damaged some it may help reduce the stress on the plant) and water daily. I did this two years in a row and was successfull both times. It may slow down the Ciliberto some at first, but should recover. You already know the ciliberto plant is a good plant, so it should recover and take off...good luck......

NO NPK ferts for a week at least. Then half stength with a high P starter type material. But wait for it to perk up for a few days first. Keep humidity up too if you can to avoid wilting. Good luck. Steve
