Gee Poppy, I thought "YOU" were one of the big hitters. The seed you sent me sure think so too, the way they are growing. (<: The little 945 Van that I thought I had killed, survived! It is now planted in one of my mini greenhouses and is doing great. Of course it is not as big as the others but doing fine just the same.

my opinion would be anyone that has he or she him-or her- self grown a pumpkin over a thousand pounds officially.
however, there are bound to be a lot of other opinions about it. 1,000 pounds is just a good reference point for me. also, anyone with a personal best better than mine should be, to me anyway, a heavy hitter by comparison, similar to having to say 'Sir' to a superior officer, no matter what....
in the much-anticipated Don Langevin book yet to come out soon i hope, we will hear many NEW distinctions that will determine the prerequisites for being known as a
HEAVY HITTER....... ........ ...'pal

So how many of the "current posters" (we know who we are) have actually grown a 1000 lb pumpkin? Do posting priveleges get removed when that quest has been reached?

Not I that's for sure!

Just wondering.
