I was able to get my future father in law hooked on this great hobby of ours... He.....he.. heeee...After he is done cursing me out for starting him down this path, he tells me tales of the patch for this year with the two grandchildren and how much work this "sport" really is. The question goes like this. He lives in White Bear Lake MN and is looking for a place to bring the pumpkins if they reach competion size to be weighed. Anyone out there know of a weigh off site in the are for this fall?
  Thanks
  John (5150)

Is bear Lake in Northern Minnesota there (in the arrowhead)? I think there is a weighoff in Minn. but its not a huge thing and it's somewhere south of the st paul area but i am not too sure. In WI, there is the weighoff in Nekoosa....i see it would be about a 300 mile trip for him. Case

White Bear Lake is a suburb of MPLS, ST. Paul, and is actually only about 20 minutes from my place. As shannon said, Rochester is probably the closest weighoff. But that is still a couple hours away. Nekoosa would be the next closest, and that would be a 3.5-4 hour drive for him. If he is intersted in coming out for a patch tour sometime, give him my email and i'd be happy to accomodate!
