When does everyone cull their plants? How big should I let them get before I make my final decision? And when you cull the worse plant, should you pull out its roots, or just cut off at the base of the stem so you don't risk disturbing the roots of your good plant?

I think when to cull is personal opinion. If they are close together, I cull when they start getting in each other's way. If they are close, just cut off the base of the plant, pulling up it's roots will disturb your keeper plant. Not good to do. It's hard to make a decision sometimes. Sometimes the worse looking plant will produce better than a great looking one. Genetics, seed history come into play. Jim
