35°F this morning in the patch. Snow in the mountains directy to the east of me. The precipitation is welcome but the cold weather is not. Keep those babies protected.

Put the cloches up and the plants will be fine. The temps in my greenhouses are 16 degrees higher at night then outside. 2" of snow outside this morning. 31 degrees outside 48 degrees inside the greenhouse.

Brian, already had my pumpkins in the ground as of april 7th
3 cloches have heat tapes and 1 didn't. 2 plants are doing great, 2 plants in the non heated cloch are so-so and 1 in the other heated clouch got off to a bad start right out of the box, so I have direct planted another seed to take it's place if it does'nt take off soon.
Whats agrivateing is we planted 30 tomato plants last week on a nice day and kept them covered with plastic and I gallon milk cartons and today all but 3 are now compost.
Man I'm sick-O-This weather!!!!

Hit 33° briefly here in Puyallup. Fortunately, plants will not go out in hoop houses for another week. We've had a cool and rainy spring.

We are supposed to get another cold storm with snow down to 3500 ft. in the mountains. Our avg. temp. for this time of year is 80. Watch out here it comes.

g1t, that sounds great but the wife gets upset when I spend
$25 for low preasure sprinkler heads.
I would be out livein in one of my cloches if I had spent $100 on wall-o-waters!! LOL

you don't need 30 of them do you ?)
8 tomatoe plants have provided more than me, my neighbors and co-workers can east.
9 wall-o-waters- $30... i bet she'd go for that... after
you have to explain to her the benefits...
fresh tomatoes from the garden in June.
and they are reuseable.... last for several years.
