I posted the way I package my seeds in my diary if you are interested in looking. I would like to encourage others to package their future seeds in some unique fashion to help prevent future seed fraud. Not only does seed fraud have an immediate victim...if it is not discovered it will also corrupt genetic data that many grower depend on. How would you spend your whole summer pampering what you thought was an 801.5 Stelts when it could really be a crappy 637 Richey traded to you under false pretenses;)
That being said, I have 100 801.5 Stelts for trade!....sorry bad joke.

Along the lines of security, I still think it would also be beneficial if somewhere images of the seed were stored as well as the actual pumpkin. AGGC perhaps? Agreed, not all seeds within a pumpkin are exactly the same but most share general characteristics.

YEs but showing what a rare seed looks like may be too temping to some people

I think Brent's system looks promising. Usually, people who are looking to cheat the system are lazy, and won't likely go to the trouble of trying to cheat his system.

great idea Brent... if any of my seeds are ever worth securing I was thinking of having a small unique stamp made like "g1t" or something then also numbering them. but inside a sealed bag would be even better, another layer of better security.

yes, i look forward to getting some 637s soon, hopefully packaged as mentioned in the diary! NEAT! however, i don't THINK a hole is necessary for ventilation, maybe it is...sealed for real with a desiccant packet...mmmm...also>>>how about an entire collection of one person's seeds in a big sheet of that plastic stuff, like a photo album...naaah, getting carried away! but i like the sealed plastic approach! you da man! It's a shame to have to do this. But it's a good idea. How about a sreial number? The grower can track by number who got what seed & when. If an unusually productive seed comes about, a serial number would make genetic tracking a little easier as well. Perhaps the standard "weight/grower/year" on one side, & the number code on the other. Just a thought.

Boily did a good job at labeling and packaging his seeds that he sent me.He added some unique markings and sealed them with a picture of the pumpkin on the package. Pretty cool Boily! Thanks.
