Just a reminder that Day Light Savings begins this weekend. for most of us. (There are a few places that don't switch- like Arizona) is this a good or a bad thing... ? to me it's both bad beacuse I have to get up an hour earlier to go to work... good because I can spend more time in the patch in the evening. I wish we'd just stay on daylight savings time all year round.

I just wish it would stay one way or the other so I could get adjusted as well as keep the livestock on a regular feeding schedule.

i have to post to this. i have been ranting and raving about how we need daylight savings time all year for as long as i remember!! i think everyone i know is in agreement.
if the majority of people want it, why cant something be done? it is so retarded and dumb for it to get dark at 5 all winter. and what an unneccessary waste of electricity!!!!! not to mention a major source of depression due to the unneeded ammount of more awake-time we spend in the dark.
does anyone have a good reason to not have daylight savings time all year long?

the reason i heard is that: it would be darker in the morning when the kids go to school. Safety... buses ... etc... with that said i stated my wish above.

I get up at 4:30 either way. And it's still dark when my head hits the pillow. But this does sound like a good case for permanent DST.

Someone should remember why daylight savings time was started in the first place. Daylight for the school children likely had more value even when it was started although that was not the reason at that time.

Benjamin Franklin wrote a paper of why it should be done. During the energy crisis of the early 70's it was adopted to conserve energy. Does not make sense to me since the same people who work still have to go to work regardless of the time. Maybe to do with electricity(lights) in the individual homes. Anyway, it seems to me that the date of the changes for DST has been changed later in the Spring by one month and earlier in the fall by one month....Tom

What I like is to get up with the daylight, I don't mind the human time. It is just a artificial convention.

Yo Gads you would love it. Spread all the leaves down the slope and trenched the bottom line of clay so the leaves are higher...filled itself up with composted leaf tea from the drainage...!!! Yikes!
