Hey Jim, the 1016 produced the 1101 for my friend Jake van Kooten in Vancouver Island. I know that place sounds pretty mild and cool, but he suffered some very hot days, up to 105 F, in the middle-end of Auguest, and the plant (as you can see looking at the fruit develop) still working pretty well. Have no direct information on the 1230 heat resistance, but it produced 4 fruits over 900 last year, and maybe some of them had high temps. Finally, as both seeds have the same cross from the very same plants (they grew in the same 705 plant), and it is a cross of two good heat resistant seeds, I believe that both of them has to work fine for you, if you have a good misting system, of course. Other think would be the color. The offspring of the 1230 was nice or deep orange, and the 1101 was a little more creamy.
Good luck............Don
