When I was checking my e-mail today, I got a message from bigpumkins.com, so I didn`t think twice about opening it. My Norton Anti-virus found a virus in the e-mail. Luckily, it didn`t affect me. This message was also not in english, I think it was Swedish. McAfee Anti virus let it thru! So if your using that one, I would upgrade to something else!

People SHOULD think twice! We DO NOT send attachments to people without prior conversations. These viruses are spoofing our identity. If you check the header of the email you will see that is was not sent by our server. In the last 3 days our webmaster account has been bombarded with virus emails. I believe a member of the site got a virus in email and opened it infecting their PC. Then it sent tons of email to people in their address book or people they have had recent emails with (using a variety of sender addresses).

Ken, I din't point a finger at anyone. Was just trying to give a "heads up". I assumed everybody knows that it didn't come from you. Sorry for any confusion.

Not to upset you further Ken, but I DID check the header. The first message did not have an attachment, the virus was buried within the message. The header is "[email protected]" and that's all I can see. Is this not you? I fully understand the spoofing, happens to us at my company. I think we were all just trying to make others aware.

That email address is ours but email addresses are easily spoofed. I will send you a message from George Bush if you would like. What you need to look for in the header is the name of the server that the message came from. It may also include the name of the client PC that the message originated from. Since John and I share the webmaster email account the name of the PC would be mine or his if in fact we sent the message. I assure you the virus was not sent from one of our computers.

It's baaaack! I received one of these today and I don't get spam at this email addy. It's one very few people have other than this site. It's pulling our addresses from this list. Fortunately I remembered seeing this thread and did not open it.
