It was decided at this weekend's, Grower's Seminar at Niagara Falls, Ontario that the Orange Jacket would now be offered as the prize for the World's Largest Atlantic Giant Pumpkin grown in 2003. The jacket would be presented at next year's 2004 New International Grower's Seminar to be held again in Niagara Falls,Ontario. Weigh-off sites will be asked to contribute a minimal amount to compensate for the cost of the jacket.

The history behind this is a project that was started by the Ontario weigh-off sites similar to the green jacket in golf. The jacket is tailored to the winner's size and sports an immpressive crest. Current jacket holders are Gary Burke,Todd Kline,Al Eaton(twice)and this year to Bill Greer. Anyone who has seen it is certainly impressed.
