Has anyone ever tried to inbreed a line of AG so that the result would be predictable? It seems that there is so much crossing going on that there is very little consistency in the progeny of a paticular seed. I am wondering how many generations of inbreeding (selfing and/or sibbing) do you think it would take before you would start seeing predictable results in the offspring? If you believe in hybrid vigor how many years of inbreeding before you could outbreed with noticeable results?

My thought...4-6 years of inbreeding, depending on maternal traits. Many may disagree, so get lots of opinions.
