I've got room to plant one of the following 2002 seed stocks this coming year.
963 Stucker - 801.5 x 935 1074 Calai - 801.5 x 876.5 Lloyd 1236 Eaton - 723 x 846 1005 Mombert - 723 x 846 914 Letourneau - 1230 x 805 807 Beachy - 801.5 x 876.5 Lloyd
Can anyone help me narrow the list down? Which seed would you plant if you had to make the choice??

To easy, go with the 807 or 1074. Myself I would go with the 1074 but that is just based on color, haven't seen a pic of the 807.(sorry Tom)

I'm going with the 1005 Mombert because of the posssibility based on gentics for a nice pumpkin. the 914 also will go in my patch. Jim Kuhn states it will be the next 723 or 845.
my two cents

However I like more the 963 Stucker, the 801.5 and the 935 are the ones that produced better seeds so far, 801.5: 846 and 705 935: 723, 845, 712 You can't think it be very easy that other "new 846" result so nice as the original. But you can hope of course.

1074 Calai's has the same cross as the 846 Calai's. The 1074 Calai's will be a interesting seed to watch

they are all very fine crosses- so what's your next criteria ? if color is one of them... you have to love the color of the 1074 Calai and hope that it was carried on.

723 x 846 and 846 x 723 have both been done may times, often with very good results. Forwards & backward. 1236 Eaton, 695 Nesbitt, 845 Nesbitt, 707 Toftness, 518 Kurkowski, 855 Kuhn, 1005 Mombert, 802 Dill, 1177 Kuhn, 609 Parks, & 860 Wallace are just some of them. Why are some planted by more growers than others? What factors are used to rationalize these decisions? Color? Weight to est?
I'm confused.
