I have seen this on seed discriptions, and can`t figure out what it means. DUH!

yeah, like weighed on yer home scale...or, just not at an actual weighoff...
also, EW or Est.= estimated weight found by measuring the outside of the fruit and comparing that total to a chart---see the 'how-to' section on the home-page of this great site.

First time I saw that expression I thought it was just an exclamation, because that particular pumpkin were astonishingly beautiful and had won a price of that kind. Some time later I realized just by myself that it wasn't the real minning, as Kyle said. Another time later I found out (just thinking by myself) that if that mark follows a real big one it use to be a crack or split or hole in the fruit, and if it follows a small one, it means that the pumpkin didn't go to any contest and was weighed at home. Conclussion: I am rather naive than smart. Don
