Is there such a thing? My father has expressed an interest in growing AGs this year but i don't think he is willing to spend enough time in the patch.I was wondering if any of the other pumpkins might be a little less time consuming.Maybe if he could grow a few 50lb jackolanterns for the grandkids it might get the ball rolling.Thanks.

The variety Prizewinner is a great one to try for low maintance & you can easily get multiple fruit on one plant that range from 75-150 lbs.........Paul

50 lbs is very easy to reach with a ag seed even if you dont take care of it at all.

Low maintenance? Once he sets fruit and starts drawing attention from neighbours and friends he won't be able to resist pampering his giant baby! My mom did the same thing last year and "babied" hers to death with fertilizer! It was a nice fruit to at 370# untill it went KABLAMO...
