BOILY HAS REPORTED HE HAS LOCATED A CERTIFIED SCALE. In any event it will be the weight Boily reports. My committe of one just met. For fun this is so it really comes down to reported weight. My committee does not want to leave the KISMIF THEORY....keep it simple make it fun.

My own guess assumed the fact that Boily may go for the world record.

The conversion should be made using 1 Kg = 2.204634.
For 500 Kg it would be 1102.3 pounds. If you used the most frequently used 1 Kg = 2.2 pounds, then 500 Kg = 1100 pounds. A difference of over 2 pounds.

the scale even if accurate to .1 kilograms will only be off .1 kilograms at the end. Not .1 kilograms for every kilogram. The factor of accuracy will still be very accurate, and only vary by a few tenths of a pound if even that much.
