I used Scimitar with great success against ALL pests last year. I really would like to buy some more because mine is almost gone. The probelm I was told that it was going to be taken off the shelves. Can anyone confirm or deny this? If it was removed id sure love to know how I can get some Warrior T. Can anyone help me get some Scimitar or Warrior for this season? Thanks for your help. Mike,
Check out obtaining a private pesticide applicator license in your state from the local co-op. This may require a fee, and testing in your state. I don't believe you'll have any trouble obtaining it with a license, and I don't really think the tests are too difficult.

Hey Mike,
WarriorT is a restricted use pesticide - need a license. The active ingredient (llambda cyhalothrin) is the same as Scimitar. But the inert ingredients are different, Scimitar is a water based material. WarriorT is the agriculture version & it is petroleum (zylene range) based. So it can be quicker (especially on insects that are not actively feeding) & potentially more dangerous to the eyes & such.
As far as I know, Scimitar is still general use & available. I just bid on (& I think awarded) a very large quantity of Scimitar. So if nothing else, I know it is available.
I can make a few calls Monday to be sure of the registration status.

hello mike, just go to your local coop dealer, they will have the warrior,a quart will run about 80.00 bucks,1 quart would last you about 4 years,i see you may be planting a big patch this year, get you a pull behind lawn mower sprayer 15 gallon, and spray your patch before you plant with warrior, and make sure you get some captan 50 wettable powder, and spray your patch,it will control certain seed rot and damping off diseases.

Mike- I used an off the shelf product from Home Depot- Triazicide by Spectracide. It is the same chemical as Scimitar, but more dilute. It may not have the same "stickiness" as the expensive ones, but I was very happy with it- no SVBs and very cheap.
